Show Jifestyles A4 • WEDNESDAY, MARCH 5, 2008 Obituary Achievements Thelma Lucille Lee Hanks Michael Dunn Lucille Hanks, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. died Feb. 26, 2008, at the age of 96. Lucille was born on Oct. 3, 1911, in Spanish Fork the daughter of John Arnold Lee and Ellen Jane McKell Lee of Mapleton. She attended grade school and junior high school in Mapleton and senior high school in Springvillc. Lucille married George Elmer (Kelly) Hanks (deceased), of Salem in the Salt Lake Temple on Nov. 22, 1929, and ttfey settled in Salem. Kelly and Lucille were the parents of three sons, Ted L. (Delia) Hanks, of Woodland Hills; Boyd E. (Deanna) Hanks, of Salem; Kurt G. (Barbara) Hanks, of St. George; and a daughterin-law, Corinne (Robert Memmott), of Mapleton. Lucille was blessed with 22 grandchildren, over 80 great-grandchildren, and 8 greal-great-grandchildrcn. Lucille has one living sister, Ruth Jones, of Pleasant Grove. The remaining brothers and sisters have all preceded her in death; Emma, Grace, Harriet, Robert Edward, Jane, and John. Lucille worked as a pink lady for over 35 years at Sigma Chi International Fraternity announces that Michael H. Dunn has been named President of (he Sigma Chi Corporation and Executive Secretary of the Fraternity, effective March 3. Sigma Chi Corporation is the holding company for the fraternal operations of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Prior to joining Sigma Chi as President, Dunn was a Vice President at Washington Mutual Bank in Phoenix, Ariz. He is a native of Spanish Fork, graduating from Spanish Fork High School (1970) and Utah State University (1976). Mountain View Hospital and was honored as one of the volunteers of the year for the State of Utah in 1994. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 1, 2008, at 11 a.m. in the Salem Second Ward Chapel, 60 South Main, Salem. Friends visited with the family from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. We offer a special thanks to Dr. E. William LeRoy of Payson. He could keep Lucille right on track, regardless of" what she would tell him. We also offer a special thanks to the staff and management of the Beehive Home of Salem for all of the help with Lucille.
