A quarterly computer fee of $10 is assessed to provide for computer maintenance and to aid the college in purchasing new computer equipment. Computer labs are available free to students and are located in Li 108, BU 203, BU 206 and SC 307. An $8.25 student body fee helps pay for student activities including publications sponsored by ASSUSC, concerts, dances and special lecturers. A general fund collection of $6.25 is divided among organizations and clubs requesting funding from the ASSUSC Senate. The general fund also provides monies to groups on a line-itebasis, meaning that the organization doesnt need to request funding each quarter but is automatically granted a certain amount each quarter. Line items are assessed annually to determine if the funding should be continued. Currently the Cheerleaders, Waukeenyans and Convocations are a few of the organizations which have line item status. Salaries for ASSUSC receptionists, director of student activities and supervisors are paid for out of the $5 Student Center activity fee. The activity fee also helps pay for Student d activities and tournaments. The SUSC Publications Council receives $4 from the total to help fund production of The Thunderbird newspaper and Tailwind literary magazine. Student Health Services is allotted $2.50 per quarter per student. The service, located in Manzanita Court, C-- l, provides free health care consultations to students some tests and other special services are a minimal charge. Intramural sports and open recreation are funded by $2 allocation. Intramural activities are sponsored throughout the year and encompass a wide variety of sports. Of the remaining $3, $1 goes to help fund quarterly drama productions and enables students to attend at a reduced price; students may attend SUSC plays and musicals for $2 with a current I.D. A $1 fee is charged for quarterly student I.D. updates, and the final dollar goes to the student scholarship fund.
