At its September 1 1 meeting, the Kane School Board heard a full auditors report on the issue. The overall picture of the school district is good, said Fred Burr, of the accounting firm Wiggins and Co., Brigham City. Burr gave a report of the districts finances as of the fiscal year ending June 30, 1996. funds in reserve have been a big issue, since the board has been in negotiations with its teachers. He said that most Utah school districts maintain 5 in reserve to guard against disaster, lawsuit or unexpected emergency.
