Show I FUNERAL SIRVICE TODAY FOR EUGENE J. NEFF Funeral services will be "held today to-day in the East Mill Creek Ward chapel for Eugene Jefferson Neff, 74, patriarch of the East Mill Creek Stake of the LDS Church. Mr. Neff died Thursday in a Salt Lake City hospital after a brief illness. . He was a native of East Mill Creek, born there March 29, 1883, a son of Amos Herr and Eliza Ann Hughes Neff. Mr. Neff was a former bishop of the East Mill Creek Ward and a well-known sheep and cattle grower grow-er in Utah, Wyoming and California. Cali-fornia. He was president of the Hawaiian Mission from 1923 to 1927 after serving there as a missionary mis-sionary from 1904 to 1908. He married Louis Chamberlin November 10, 1910. She survives as do two sons and three daugh- ters; nine grandchildren, three sisters and a brother. Friends may call at the chapel, 2702 Evergreen Ave., from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Services will begin at 1 p.m. under the direction of Bishop LeRoy M. Strand. Burial will be in Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. |
