Show MANTI ITEMS, Manti Sept. a8th. It is rumored that dogs are killing kill-ing and devouring young calves in the fields west of Manti. If this be true the owners of such bloodthirsty canines should be responsible for their good bghavior. Mr. George R. Scott has accepted accept-ed a position as salesman in Z. C M. I. and leaves for Salt Lake in the morning. Miss Jatnima Scott also leaves for Burville to take charge of the school at that place. These young people areactive nd efficient members of the Improvement Association and Sabbath Schools and will be greatly missed. The North Ward Sunday School held its quarterly review to-day. Th attendance was large, and the exercises well rendered, Pres. Mai-ben Mai-ben and Mr. Geo. R. Scott addressed address-ed the School for a short time Supt. Wodskow spoke in a highly commendatory com-mendatory manner of the labors of Mr. Scott in the Sunday School and said that the good wishes of pupils and teacher would follow him to his new field of labor. |
