Show BLANDING NEWS by grace fourth grade presents Oper operetta fairy queen was presented as an outgrowth of their music class it was directed by their music teacher mr taylor betty who believes in fairies was convincingly done by sharlet black merrih dee shumway took the part of bobby the hungry disbeliever but everyone believed in fairies when Rc Ra burtenshaw as queen of the fairies appeared she led her people in song and dance during a night time scene of mystic lights and strange happenings the music was especially ally good mrs elinor guymon the fourth grade teacher had much to do with its success SAN JUAN MUSIC FESTIVAL on april a five school music meet was held at the san juan high the high schools participating were grand county monticello san juan man mancos and dove creek 1 in addition to instrumental and vocal vecal solos and ensembles there were choral groups and individual bands participating the highlights of the day were the parade marching maneuvers and massed band days mrs taylor is a sister of dick and jesse walker forty members of the family met together to party and get acquainted one of the main attractions seemed to be riley walkers new electric and since
