Everytime someone gets lost on a mountain bike, we get a cellular phone call from them asking us to come and find them, said San Juan County Sheriffs Department spokes- man Monte Dalton. They just dont understand what is out there until they get lost. Several incidents in recent weeks have law enforcement officials urging tourists and residents to be aware when they enter the backcountry. In addition to the growing number of mountain bikers (who often call from the La Sal Mountains), jeepers also call for emergency assistance when they break down. Dalton said that there were a large number of drug busts on and near Lake Powell over the Memorial Day weekend. Law enforcement officials confiscated marijuana, peyote, methamphetimines and Houseboats from Hite Marina. Now through une 15th, take a 44' or 50' Standard Class Houseboat from Hite Marina on the north end of Lake Powell, Half Off and we'll take 50 off the regular rates.
