" The 1969 "Latigo" a yearly literary magazine of Monticello High School was discussed and three of its essays were read by Marva and Ila. The essays were "How Freckles Came About" by Sally Fellmeth, "When Today Turns to Tomorrow" by Jana Redd and "Curosity is Trouble, " by Monte Christensen. Each member was then asked to read one of their favorite poems. Refreshments were served to all present. The 7th grade presented several talent numbers and the play "Buddy Answers an Ad" for their assembly last Friday. Business students from MHS attended the Business Meet hosted by Grand County High School on Wednesday. He spent time in Tuan Loi, Viet Nam and Other bases near there. He was under enemy fire many times and is glad to be home. He works at Hill Air Force base, in Hills field near Salt Lake City. Members of the North San Juan County American Society Crusade Committee have been showing films for the past week on Cancer control. Almost one hundred residents have been reached by these films. These films by the society are available to any group i n San Juan County, just get in contact with Mrs. Laura Douglas or Mrs. Melba Latimer.
