is a cross vein and mr lane has known of its existence for some time last week he be transferred the men from the shaft for the purpose of ope opening n ing it up and an open cut showed the vein to be fifteen feet wide A shaft has been started and the ore improves with depth the success is one of 0 the most promising properties in deaver beaver lake district as three strong veins converge on this ground and it is believed that some day it will become a great mine mammoth record A four car sample lot of iron ore is being taken out from tiie the iron blowout blow out at the black jack and it if M ground A surface crosscut cross cut of 28 feet has been made across tho the vela vein and one of the walls not yet reached A shaft is now being put down on the surface the ore assayed from to and assays essays from the bottom of the shaft last week revealed values from 2 to 32 mr billingsley is confident tat that this vein has a width of at least 35 feet A force of men is to be put on this week and the vein thoroughly developed work has been pushed along all winter on the lower tunnel the vein and ore continue about the same and some of it is being sacked for shipment price advocate promising copper fields of the southwest and will open up the oil belt in the northern part of the county the promoters of the scheme who are represented at salt lake city by M H kriebel are capitalists of portland ore the territory to be opened has frequently tempted speculators who see a golden opportunity in the great ore hauls to be secured in that up explored region the la sal mines
