MISS ANTHONYS BIRTHDAY A aicetlns of Equal bIn b-in the < < Fourteenth Ward A meeting of much interest to equal I suffragists took place in the Fourteenth I Four-teenth ward assembly hall last evening even-ing in commemoration of the birthday anniversary of Miss Susan B Anthony The anniversary was celebrated in many cities of the land A movement was on foot to donate a sum sufficient to purchase a home for Miss Anthony and the Salt Lake county association had forwarded 520 for that purpose A resolution was adopted extending congratulations con-gratulations to Qliss Anthony and a telegram to that effect was sent last evening Miss Anthonys picture was hung at the back and above the platform plat-form and the woman suffrage colors were draped here and there Addresses commendatory of M5ss An thonys work for the cause of equal suffrage as well as hex worth as a woman were made by Dr Ellen B Ferguson Mrs F S Richards Mr F S RIchards and Mr William B Stewart Stew-art Mrs McFarland and Miss Claire Ferguson gave appropriate readings and 2vI5ss Maud Pratt sang Dreams and for an encore 0 Fair Dove Seated upon the platform during the formal programme were Dr Ellen B Ferguson who presided Mrs F S Richards Mrs Ruth M Fox Mrs Laplsh Mrs Price Mrs McFarland Mrs Irvine and Mrs Eardley At the close of the programme re freshments were served and dancing followed
