The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Murphy, Roosevelt. Wedding Plans Of Two Local Girls Highlight Social Calendar This Week Announcement of the engagement engage-ment of Miss Mary Murphy is made this week by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Murphy. Her fiance is Daniel G. Witt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Witt of Heber Both are senior students at the Brigham Young University, where Mr. Witt is majoring in sociology and Miss Murphy in recreation. Miss Murphy is affiliated with Nautilus Social Unit and the Orche-sis Orche-sis and French Club. The marriage will be solemnized December 18 in the Logan LDS Temple. The bride-elect graduated with the class of '53 from Union High School, where she was active in drama, speech and the Pep Club. Mr. Witt is a graduate of Wasatch High School, and served a two-year two-year LDS mission in the Western States. He also spent two years in the U. S. Armed service. He is serving as president of the Heber Fourth Ward Elder's Quorum. A reception is being planned for the young couple December 19 in the Heber Fourth Ward Chapel. No definite date has been set by Miss Brown to pledge vows with Freddie C. Grunewald of Kenedy, Texas. engagement of her daughter, Dolores Do-lores to Freddie C. Grunewald, son of Mrs. Josie Grunewald of Kenedy, Ken-edy, Texas. The bride-elect graduated with honors from Union High School with the class of '53, and since her graduation has been employed at the First Security Bank, Roosevelt. Roose-velt. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she is serving in the Uintah Basin Indian Mission, and prior to that she was Roosevelt Stake YWMIA attendance secretary. Her fiance is now serving in the U. S. Navy, stationed at the Naval Air Station, North Island, San Diego, California. He is an active member of the LDS Church. The young couple plans to be married when Mr. Grunewald receives re-ceives his next leave. |
