Weaver, Daniel T. OBrian, and Milton Pana were appointed as Data Processing Manager and Systems Managers, of Kennecott Cop- per Corporations newly-establish- ed Scientific and Engineering Computer Center. New Computer Center is located in the new Kennecott Building. Mr. Weaver, a graduate of Brigham Young University, started with Kennecott as a computer programmer and advanced to senior programmer and systems analyst to his present position. Roy Samuelsen and Richard Storrs have signed to sing the roles of Rigoletto and the Duke of Mantua, respectfully. The supporting cast and chorus will also feature several of the intermountain areas leading vocal artists and the orchestra is composed of Utah Symphony members. Mr. Samuelsen is a native Norwegian baritone who became an accomplished concert, opera and recording artist during ten years of study and performances in Utah. Currently, he is on the music faculty at Indiana University, where he is seeking a doctor of music degree. , He has appeared with symphony orchestras in Europe and the United States, and is winner of several prominent music competitions including the Metropolitan Opera auditions. His repertoire includes more than 40 leading operatic and 14 oratorio roles. Mr. Storrs recently returned to California after sixyears as a leading tenor with opera companies in Pforzheim, Koblenz and Darmstadt, Germany, including guest appearances in productions of the Mannheim and Dusseldorf opera companies. A native of Salt Lake City, Mr. Storrs is a former member and tenor soloist with the Tabernacle Choir, the University of Utah Summer Festival production of Carousel, and the Utah and Stanford Symphonies.
