Members of. the teen crew will add a lot to Provo'a Christmas celebration thia year. Their stories, poems and feature articles will be read In the Daily Herald. Provo high school teen-agers will present a mammoth Christmas concert Wednesday at 8 p. m. in Provo tabernacle and BY high school will delight celebrants with seven performances of "A Christmas Carol." Winners in the writing contest have been announced by the judges. Anetta Snow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Sam-uel P. Snow, 1034 E. .3rd S., was awarded first place in the 12-15 age group for her entry, "Christmas Angel." First place laurels in the 16-19 age group went to Marilyn Young, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richmond young, 1091 E. 7th N., lor her atory, "Three Facet tory, Home." Anetta and Marilyn will receive $10 each for their stories. Other Winners Winning features in the contest con-test were submitted by Jean Anderson, An-derson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theo Anderson, 678 Columbia Circle, whose winning article is titled "Substitute for Santa" and Patricia Ann Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph T. Smith of Chrysteel acres, whose winning erticle is "But For The Grace of God." Patricia Ann and Jean will be awarded $5 each for their entries. en-tries. Judges awarded $2.50 poetry prizes to Lorraine Beardall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton L. Beardall of Grandview, and Vona Dee Carter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Preston Carter, RFD 1 Box 132, Lorraine's poem is titled, "A Soldier's Christmas Card" and Vona Dee chose to name her poem, "My Christmas Wish." Winning entries will be published pub-lished in the Christmas edition of the Daily Herald, Friday, Dec. 24. Honorable mention articles will be published at different times between now and Christmas. Honorable mention stories were submitted by Helen Jaggi, Ruth Klein, June Halliday and Marilyn Richmond. Honorable mention features were sent in by Marilyn Young, Carolyn Coles and LeAnn Clegg. Poems that gained honorable honor-able mention were submitted by Dorothy Grammer, Margie Anderson, An-derson, Marta Black and Norma Jane Kins. Serving as Judges for the successful suc-cessful contest were Mrs. Cherry McKay, prominent local poetess and member of League of Utah Writers, several member of the Writers' Section of Women's Council and John Hamlyn of the Daily Herald staff. Children and adults are equally equal-ly enthusiastic as they await the BY high school production of "A Christmas Carol" to be presented present-ed under the direction of George Lewis. Seven performances of the Yuletime favorite are slated. Public school students will .attend performances Dec. 20 and 21 at f:45 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. each day. Everyone else is invited to any of the three showings set for Sat urday, Dec. 18 to 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Cast members for the play are JoDell Benson, Marilyn Norton, Mark Wolsey, Condon Avery, Joanne Jo-anne Holdaway, J.
