Show P. G. High School News Marie Williamson, Reporter. "GIRLS' DAY" HUGE SUCCESS The annual "Girls' Day" was held in the Pleasant Grove high school Monday, November 4. The day was a huge success and lived up to the tradition tra-dition that has been established In the school. Very clever stunts were the main features of the morning s entertainment Dinner was served at noon and a program took up most of the afternoon. The dance at night was a very colorful affair and ended the day in a perfect manner. The classes were limited to half hour periods with a stunt between each class. The Freshmen's stunt was a dramatization of "Poor Papa". The Sophomores gave an Irish song an dance, the Ifunior's stunt was an act intitled "If Girls Talked Like Boys Talk and Boys Talked Like Girls Talk" and the officers of the Girls' League gave an "Ideal Marriage" Mar-riage" stunt A luncheon was served to the entire en-tire student body at noon and the following fol-lowing program wag given in the afternoon: Vocal solo Helen Johnson; reading, read-ing, Bernice Gillman; stunt, "Romeo and Juliet", group of girls; vocal duet, Miss Thompson and Miss Fen-ton; Fen-ton; stunt), Junior Pep Club; piano I solo. Mildred Framraton : nantomine. "The Lamp Went Out", group of girls; novelty act, group of girls; The dance was an "Immigration Ball", and the girls we,re dressed to represent a country or period. It completed the day in a very delightful delight-ful way, and was enjoyed by all. n |
