Show Funeral Rites for Wm. J. Robbins Held on Monday Impressive funeral rites were held Monday at 1 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove First-Fifth Ward Chapel for William John Robbin" , 85, life-long resM""L oftne'TT Grove, area. The service directed by Bishop Vilace L. Radmall of the Fifth Ward, opened" with prayecby Harold S. Walker. Patricia Seely and Jeanne Walker, accompanied by Zoe James sang "In the Graden." A sketch of the busy active life of Mr. Robbins was read by a great-grandson great-grandson Jay Gamett. Speakers who paid tribute to the memory Qf the departed and spoke words of faith and encouragement encour-agement to the family were Patriarch Pat-riarch D. B. Thorne, life-long friend and associate, and former Fifth Ward Bishop Welby Gammon. Gam-mon. Warren Kirk, accompanied by Geraldine Halstrom sang O My Father. After closing remarks of appreciation ap-preciation and sympathy for the family, by Bishop Vilace Radmall, Mrs. Seely and Mrs. Walker sang the final number A Perfect Day. Prior to the church service, family prayer at the mortuary , was led by Edwin Assay. Prelude and postlude organ music was played by Geraldine Hoist rom. Benediction was pronounced by Clarence Wright. Burial directed by Olpin-Sund-berg Mortuary took place in the family plot, in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, where Charles Robbins a son, offered the dedi-catorial dedi-catorial prayer. Pallbearers were John Huntsman, Hunts-man, Del Singleton, Max Ferre, S. A. Kirk, Earl Millar, Milton . Adamson. Flowers were cared for and arranged by Fifth Ward Relief Society. Mr. Robbins died Friday morning morn-ing in the American Fork Hospital Hospi-tal of a short illness. Bom Oct. 16, 1975, at Lindon, a son of William and Ann Wooley Robbins. Married Elizabeth Ann Harris, Nov. 10. 1895, Salt Lake Temple. She died March 11, 1940. Married Elizabeth Runnel, Dec. 31, 1915. She died Oct. 1, 1952. Married Emma Draper. June 12, 1953. Was active in Church, serving ser-ving on ward Old Folks Committee, Commit-tee, YMMIA. ward teacher, counselor coun-selor in high priest quorum. Survivors: widow; four sons nnd four daughters. Charles A., Orem; RueJon H.. Frrol W., William Will-iam H. Robbins. M:.,. Edward W. (Ann) Lewis, Mrs. Harold (Lola) Bullock, all of Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Clayton (Belva) Wootton, Phoenix. Ariz.; Mrs. Fny (Ella) Campbell, Wellington, Carbon Co. 30 grand childre, 35 great-grandchildren. |
