KEYNE THORNE (Carol Gay Rees) Wedding Reception Honors Young Newlyweds After Temple Ceremony Beautifully arranged and complete com-plete in every detail was the setting set-ting for the wedding reception Friday evening, Dec. 5 hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Dsslie Rees in the Third-Sixth Ward recreation hall, honoring their daughter Carol Gay and Keyne Thome, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse K. Thorne. Assisted by their parents, par-ents, the popular young newly-weds newly-weds and their party received relatives and friends before a grand arch of white velvet entwined en-twined with green seasonal boughs, through which lights gleamed brightly. The bride was singularly beautiful beau-tiful in a gown of imported silk --- organza molded with full skirt artistically bordered with applique appli-que and like the bodice embroidered embroid-ered in silk. The fingertip, veil of sheer illusion fell from a crown of seed pearls. Her pure white bridal bouquet featured a gorgeous orchid. The bride's sister, Miss Deanna Rees, stood as maid of honor. Other attendants were Marilyn Thorne, the groom's sister, Car-; Car-; olyn Morris, Mrs. Vaughn Myers and Roslyn Rees, all gowned in blue satin sheathes, with scoop necklinei and quarter-length sleeves and each carried white ( fur muff and matching head bands. The bride's mother was attired in gray lace, while Mrs. Thorne chose an ivory all wool sheath. Royle Johnson assumed best man duties. Greeting guests at thte door were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph B. Hanson and Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Theo-dore Rees. The groom's brother, Kay Thorne ushered.' Attending to the guest registration were Miss Beverly Farr and Miss Nola Ash. Jean Richards presided over the serving assisted by prettily clad young ladies who served. They were Ardith Walker, Deanna De-anna Pendergraft, Sue Black, LeAnn Smith, Betty Beers. Arranging Ar-ranging the lovely gift display were Mrs. Wesley Jense, Pauline Ash, Ann Matthews and Judy Ann Nelson. Mrs. Gerald Belliston arranged the lovely trousseau, assisted by Mrs. Keith Brown and Mrs. Keith Henrichson. Especially honored guests were the bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Anderson of Rioh-field Rioh-field and Mrs. A. J. Rees of Wales; also 'the -groom's grandparents, grand-parents, Patriarch land Mrs. D. B. Thorna. Petite Marianne Rees iand Barry Bar-ry Dupler carried dainty white baskets of dream cake for the guests. The popular young couple were married on Dec. 5 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple with Elder Hawks of the Temple presidency officiating. Witnessing the impressive im-pressive ceremony were parents of both young people and grands parents, Patriarch and Mrs. D. B. Thorne and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest R. Anderson. Following the temple marriage the wedding party were guests of the bridegroom's p--ents, Mr. and Mrs. Thorne, at a wedding breakfast at tha Doll House. Following their honeymoon the young couple will establish a home in Orem and Mr. Thorne will assume his studies at the Brigham Young University. Among pre-nuptial functions honoring the bride was a shower by girl friends, and a dinner party par-ty at the home of her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Rees. |
