Show Funeral Rites for Margaret Shoell Held on Tuesday Family and friends gathered from far and near Tuesday at noon to pay last tribute of respect to the memory of Margaret Wilson Wil-son Shoell, who died Sunday in' American Fork Hospital after a long illness. i The impressive service began at 12 noon in the Third-Sixth Ward Chapel with Glade Hilton of the Third Ward bishopric conducting. con-ducting. Invocation was offered by Ruel L. Wanlass, a son-in-law, followed by a vocal number by the Third Relief Society Chorus, Josephine Hilton, Mary Dever-aux, Dever-aux, Verdell Lim, Jessie Penrod, Maxine Fugal, Delores Eldredge, accompanied by Phyllis Holien. They sang "How Lovely Are Thy Dweil lings." Speakers were Glade Hilton an:l Parley Christiansen, both of whom paid tribute to the departed depart-ed and her husband and the work they had both done in scouting. Mr. Christianson also paid an outstanding tribute to Mrs. Shoell and to mothers in general for the thousands of hours they spend in doing work for their families. Cleo Webb, a grand-daug'hter-in-law, sang "That Wonderful Mother of Mine." She was accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Eva Carson. Concluding speaker was Calvin Walker, former bishop of the Third Ward, who in his kindly way told of the wonderful work of Mrs. Shoell in aiding her husband hus-band in his years of successful Boy Scout work. Closing number was a vocal duet "Beyond the Sunset" by Ar-mond Ar-mond Webb, a son-in-law, and Mrs. Virgil Peterson, accompanied accompan-ied by Mrs. Eva Carson. Benediction was pronounced by Boyd Webb. Burial was made in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery whera Robert Shoell, a grandson, offered the- dedicatorial prayer. Pallbearers, all grandsons, were Ralph Cullimore, Glen Blatter, Blaine Webb, Keith Webb, Paul Webb and David Shoell. Flowers were caned for and arranged ar-ranged by the Third Ward Relief Re-lief Society. Mrs. Shoel was born Dec. 10, 1877 in Evanston, Wyoming to Spiers and Margaret Lockhart Wilson. She married Frederick C. Shoell Sept. 6, 1896 in Provo and the marriage was later solemnized solemniz-ed in the Salt Lake Temple. Mr. Shoell died April 29, 1943. Survivors include daughters, sons: Mrs. Pearl Cullimore, Garland, Gar-land, Box Elder County; Mrs. Thelma Wraitkins, Richland, Wash. Mrs. Louise Tobler, Nampa, Ida.; Mrs. Ethel Webb, Lehi; Mrs. Geneva Gen-eva Wanlass, Santa Maria, Calif.; Mrs. Helen Webb, Gunnison; Mrs. Dorothy Billiter, Salt Lake City; Fred and Richard Shoell, both Pleasant Grove, 31 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren, 4 sisters and 2 brothers. |
