Show Funeral Held in Salt Lake City for S. L. Robertson Mr. and Mrs. Dean Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Thorne Smith, Geo. L. Smith, Harvey Smith, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marrott were among the local relatives and friends who attended the funeral of S. L. Robertson Rob-ertson in Salt Lake City Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon. The services were held at 36 East, 7th south, with Preston W. Parkinson bishop of the Wasatch Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, presiding. Mr. Robertson died Saturday in a Salt Lake hospital. A son of James Lyman and Emma Sunbeck Robertson, he was born in Springerville, Ariz., Oct 1, 1884. His first wife, Eva Leishman Robertson, died Jan. 25, 1935. He married Genevieve Smith in Salt Lake City June 8, 1939. Mr. Robertson had lived most of his adult life in Ogden, but had been a resident of Salt Lake City the past three years. A retired grain elevator operator, he was a member of the elders quorum in the Wasatch Ward. Survivors include his widow, Salt Lake City; thi-ee sons, Howard How-ard Robertson, Ogden; LaVar Robertson, Los Angeles; and Earl Robertson, San Diego; seven grandchildren; two brothers, H. C. Robertson, Salt Lake City and Rellus Robertson, Mesa, Arizona; a sister, Christena McDaniel, Alpine Al-pine and four stepsons and two stepdaughters, Dean D., Lynn E., and Thorne Smith, Pleasant Grove and Reed M. Smith, Salt Lake City; Ethel Smith, Salt Lake City and Mrs. Ruth Buhler, Midway. j |
