Show Funeral Services For Doyle Church Held Saturday Impressive funeral services were conducted Saturday at 2 p. m. in the First Ward Chapel for Doyle Church, who died Wednesday at his home on Locust Avenue. The services were directed by Bishop Harold, S. Walker of the Grove ward. Oscar Evans offered the invocation invoc-ation . The first speaker was Thomas Church, who paid high tribute to Mr. Church and his family, and after expressing sympathy sym-pathy and appreciation, gave some very fine thoughts on the purpose of life and death. John L. Adams discussed some gospel truths and our existence here. Musical numbers included two vocal duets "Softly and Tenderly Jesus Is Calling" and "In The Garden" by Mrs. S. W. Hilton and Robert Hilton, accompanied by Irwin Jensen. Mr. 'Jensen played an organ solo, "O My Father" and also played prelude and portlude organ music. After closing remarks by Bishop Bish-op Walker, President Lewis E. Olpin pronounced the benediction. Interment was made in the PI. Grove City cemetery, where the grave was dedicated by Elder Esplin. Mr. Church was born in Pang-uitch Pang-uitch July 18, 1936, a son of Zera and Susie Hutchings Church. He attended schools there and joined the Navy during World War II. He moved with his parents to PI. Grove in March of 1945. He was a priest in the Grove ward. On November 22, 1948, he married mar-ried Margaret Mitchell. Survivors include his widow, a daughter, Janice 1; his parents, and a brother Abe H. Church, all of Pleasant Grove; and five sisters, sis-ters, Mrs. Anges O'Driscoll, PI. Grove; Mrs. Mathel Ray, Tronic, Mrs. Garneta Gill, Salt Lake City, and Norma and Susanne Church, Pleasant Grove. Pall bearers were Vern Gill, Boyd Heywood, Ivan Davenport, Walter Mitchell, Ralph Toinlinson, Jeff Marshall. |
