Show SBvis Meld Last TEiursciay '.touching and impressive funeral rites were held Thursday April 24 at two o'clock for LaVar Ahlstrom, 7, son of Mr. and Mrs. Reno Ahlstrom, Ahl-strom, who was drowned in the Murdock canal earlier in the week. With George Paul of the Third ward biishopric in charge, the ser vice began with a number by the children of the First grade of the Central school, the class of which LaVar was a member. Accompanied Accompan-ied and directed by their teacher, " Jfrs. bai;;y iNie.l&on, they sa.ng ''I Love to Hear the Story." Invocation was offered by Burt Johnsonv an uncle. This was followed follow-ed by a vocal duet, "Let the Little Children Come" by Mrs. Leone Told and Miss Alene Rasmussen. They were accompanied by Mrs. Mary Neves. First speaker was William C. Smith who after expressing sympathy sym-pathy to the family spoke of the responsibility of parents in the teaching of their children. Calvin Walker, in his usual kindly manner man-ner stressed the thought that death is only a transition from mortality to immortality. Daryl Huish of the bishopric in his remarks admonished all to live the Gospel of Christ, and spoke words of encouragement to the bereaved be-reaved family. Other musical numbers included a vocal duet, "Call Mc" by Mrs. Louise Neilson and Mrs. Mary Var-ney, Var-ney, accompanied by Mrs. Avis West, and a vocal solo, ',Thc Children's Child-ren's Friend" by Mrs. Avis West accompanied by her daughter Ann. Closing remarks of sympathy ami appreciation were made by George Paul. Benediction was pronounced by Joseph S. Walker. Internment was made in the Pleasant Grove City cemetery where the dedicatory prayer was given by Delbert Ahlstrom, Ahl-strom, grandfather of the boy. Tall bearers were all members of Mrs. Ahlstroni's primary class. Among out of town guests attending at-tending the funeral were John W.
