Show Funeral Held Monday For Wm. E. Conroy Relatives and close friends gathered gath-ered Monday morning at 10 at the Olpin Mortuary here to pay last tribute of respect to the memory of William E. Conroy, 72, who died Thursday evening at the home of his son, Edmond Conroy in Lindon. Invocation was offered by Patriarch Pat-riarch D. B. Thorne. Speakers who expressed sympathy sym-pathy and encouragement for the family were Bishop Gillman and Ezra F. Walker. Musical numbers included two vocal numbers, One Fleeting Hour and The Lords Prayer by a ladies quartette, Alberta Walker, Ella Smith, Vie Ostergaard and Cleo Harward. They were accompanied by Loraine Ruffel and a piano selection, sel-ection, "Meditation" by Ruth Lov-ell. Lov-ell. Benediction was pronounced by W. D. Chapman of the bishopric. Internment was 'made in the Pleasant Grove City cemetery, where Bishop Louis Olpin offered the dedicatory prayer. Mr. Conroy was born in Dublin Ireland, July 12, 1874, a son" of John and Mary Sewell Conroy and came to the United States 62 years ago, settling in Minnesora. He later lat-er moved to California, where he worked in the shipyards in Los Angeles many years. The past two years he has made his home with his son in Lindon. He married Alice Griffin in Yanktown, S. D. in 1903. Besides his widow he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. H. E. Cole, Los Angeles; three sons, James Conroy, Los Angeles; Earl Conroy Minneapolis, Minn.; and Edmond Conroy. Lindon; also several grandchildren. |
