Funeral Rooms on Tuesday, under direction of the Second Ward Bishopric, with Bishop C. R. Clark In chrayc- The impressive services U'Kan at 1 o'clock with a vocal duet "In The Garden" by Mrs. J. E. Ilardman and Mrs. Leland Boers. They were accompanied by Miss Mary Neves- Joseph H. Adams offered the opening prager. First speaker was E. F. Walker, who after offering words of sympathy to the family, spoke of the progression of the soul of'man. j H. W. Clark talked o'f Mr. Soren- sens honesty and cheerfulness ana i expressed sympathy for the family, especially the son Wamick who is with the armed forces in Italy Miss Dawn Marie Adams accompanied accom-panied by Miss Mary Neves played a violin solo- ' and Mrs. Hardman and Mrs. Beers accompanied by Miss Neves sang the closing number, "Beautiful Isle." J- C. Peterson pronounced the benediction. Bishop C R. -Clark offered the prayer at the graveside in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Victor Barney, Jas. A- Nelson, Fred Foutz, Jacob Nelson, Robert i Mitchell and Ernest Jense were pall i bearers. Mr. Sorensen died Friday, May 4-in 4-in a Salt Lake hospital, after sev- ( eral weeks illness. . He was born in Salt Lake City, December 25, 1872 and came to this i city when a child. He spent several , years as a miner in Mercur and i Bingham and in 1908 moved backj. to Pleasant Grove and engaged in I farming. He married Annie C. Wamick in 1904. She died in 1938. He was the father of four children. 3 o'f whom survive. They are: Mrs. Helen S- Marion of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Wanda S. Yuna of San Francisco, Fran-cisco, and Wamick Swensen with the U. S. Army in Italy. Among the out of town visitors who attended the funeral of Laf-ayete Laf-ayete Sorensen on Tuesday were Mrs Wanda Yuna and daughter of San Francisco, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Mar-ion and three children, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Wamick, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wamick, and Mrs. Grace Williams of Salt Lake City, Mi's. Charles ' Carson of Fairfield; Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Larson and daughter and "Kir. and Mrs. Dan Adams of American Fork. |
