Show THE OGDEN VALLEY NEWS Page 8 Volume V, Issue IX February 15, 2002 Eden Resident’s Face to Become Nationally Renown Tinker Toy, known more fondly as Tink, came from a miniature Australian Shepherd breeder in Morgan, Utah. Tink was born on August 19, 2000. During a visit to Petsmart in Ogden, American Nutrition representative Vern Horning Clint Weston Joins Zions Bank Team in Eden Barnes was contacted and asked to take Tink to Salt Lake City for a photo shoot. This past June she was informed that photogenic Tink had won out over the competition, and had been selected to represent the company. Tink actually has one blue eye and a brown eye, but due to the color saturation around her brown eye, Vitabone made both her eyes blue for the package shoot. Vitabone Dog Biscuits can be found in most grocery stores, including the Valley Market. The new packaging featuring Tink’s furry face should be on the shelves within a month. Tink moved to Eden in June of 2001 and, like many other residents of Eden, dreads to return to Ogden . . . unless it is to shop at Petsmart. Tink Barnes noticed Tink as a potential candidate for the new packaging star he was searching for. At the time, the pup was five months old. Vern took several initial pictures. In February 2000, owner Carol Barnes says, “The canine is a great companion, and loves to do whatever we do. Tink does like Vitabone products, next to playing catch. During the summer, her other favorite activities include laying in the creek, boating, going to dine at Eats of Eden (when outdoor seating is available), and checking the mail at the local post office. During the winter, Tink enjoys the snow a lot more than her owners do!” Tink’s best friend is Sydney, also an Austrailian Shepherd, who lives next door. Clint Weston Clint Weston, the newest employee and Zions Bank, grew up in Clinton, and now lives in Hooper with his wife Stalee. Weston served an LDS mission to Brisbane, Australia where, he states, “I had the best time of my life!” After returning, he was married in 2000. “We don’t have any kids yet, but some time soon maybe. I am a musician, and I play the drums in a band called TOWLINE. Some of my hobbies include skiing at Basin, skiing at Basin, and skiing at Basin.” Clint is currently a student at Weber State pursuing an accounting degree. He transferred from the Zions Bank in Sunset, and says he is looking forward to getting to know everyone. “I was told that coming up here would be a great experience, and a big family environment.” Gourmet Expresso Bar Opens in Eden By Shanna Francis Ogden Valley News Staff Drew Johnson of Eden recently opened a specialty coffee and hot chocolate expresso bar inside the Valley Market.
