Tho convontlon was without any serious factional fights, although there wore charges of irregularity 2 the election of tho dolegates by tho Salt l.ake party. Those charges woro so evidently the result of pcr&onal grievances that Chairman Oliver rapped rap-ped the objectors to order with his gavel, this action of tho chairman being be-ing approved by an nlmost unanimous vote of the dolegates. In tho evening the Tooelo delegation delega-tion attempted to Inject a fight which tho party Is now experiencing in that town Into the stato organization, but the mattor was loft for tho Tooelo organization to fight out Itself. This, trouble grew out of the chargo mode by members of the Salt Lako local that a member of the Tooele part visited Salt Lake during tho last municipal mu-nicipal election and attempted to render ren-der aid to the American party. Tho Tooole local was adIscd by the state executive committee to try the member mem-ber so charged and he bo found guilt to axpcl him from the party. According to tho Ogdcn delegates the Btato convention was by far the moet succossful that Utah Socialist hato ever held. The state organization organiza-tion Is In far bettor obapo in every way than evor before In Its history and oxpis to wage a campaign throughout tho stato such aa the party has never before attempted.
