Show oo BH GIVEN "WETJJVORKERS About 100 persons, many of them tho ladles who assisted tho "wet" organization or-ganization in its election day work last Tuesday, wero tho guests of City Recorder Carl Allison at a banquet given at the Potter cafe last evening. There wero probably a dozen men representing tho active workers of Uio Ogden Business Men's and Manufacturers Manu-facturers association, and tho remainder remain-der wero the womon workers The banquet was given by Mr. Allison, Alli-son, secretary of the Ogden" "wet" organization, or-ganization, as an evidence of his appreciation ap-preciation of tho good services rendered ren-dered during tho spirited battle of bal-loLs. bal-loLs. The dinner was.served at S30 o'clock, and at Its conclusion there was a brief program ot addresses. On behalf of the ladles present, Mrs. Kate Toponce thanked Mr Allison Alli-son for his hospitality She expressed a l;een gratitude for the efforts which had been made by Mr. Allison and his assistants to make the work as pleasant pleas-ant and Instructive as possible. Lastly Last-ly she complimented tho secretary very highly for hospitality in tendering tender-ing the banquet. . In responding to the remarks of Mrs. Toponce, Mr Allison reviewed briefly the campaign Just closed, toll-lug toll-lug of the valued assistance which hnd been given by the women in the cause of a greater Ogden Ho was especially grateful for the excellent work accomplished b the ladies on election day and said that In many wnyg It had been an educational campaign. |
