I Speculation was very irregular, the I list alternately advancing and declining! declin-ing! hut the fluctuations in the market mar-ket leaders did not exceed a fraction except 'n a few instaJices There was a continuation of yesterday s sharp advance in some obscure stocks. Much disappointment was felt over the action of the market. The bulls i were confident that yesterday's dem-' onstratlon of strength would be continued con-tinued and were disconcerted whenj they found there was plenty of stock for sale in the opening dealings. During the early pan of the second hour, the market receded further, but toward noon the list hardened grad-1 ually with prices averaging below yesterday's yes-terday's closing.
