Show WILL NOT NAME DAY TO VOTE ON LOREVIER CASE WASHINGTON. Jan 11. Responding Respond-ing to a request from Senator Albert J. Bevcrldge of Indiana, Senator Julius Ju-lius Caesar Burrows, chairman of the committee on privileges and olectlons, today refusod to permit the naming of a day for taking a vote on tho Lorl-mer Lorl-mer case. Mr. Bcveridgc urged early action because of the congested condition or tho calendar Mr Burrows replied that whjlc at the -proper time he would not stand in the way of a vote, ho would not consent to" naming a' day now when no senator supporting Mr. Lorimer had been heard. |
