Show DIED DRESSED IN WEDDING CLOTHES "fiadietbwh, N. Y, Jfaly--ir Miv-and Miv-and Mrs. Edward D. C. Crans of this city were found dead in bed at their home, 20 Orchard street, late this afternoon. aft-ernoon. They had been dead sine Wednesday. Their arms were clasped and they were dressed in their wedding clothes. Besido the bed were two glasses which had apparently contained carbolic car-bolic acid. Mr. Crans was formerly editor of the Mlddletown Daily Press. Ho was prominent In Republican political circles for many years. Two letters, inclosed in one envelope, were found near the bodies The notes disclosed a suicide agreement which had been in fViMr- mimic alnpn Alnrnh 16. 1911. the date of one of the letters. The loiters were addressed to "Executor Dr. E. M. Schultz." Ono letter, evidently evi-dently written Just before death by Mrs. Crans, directed that no funeral services be held and that the undertaker under-taker be requested not to disturb their bodies. It was also requested that the husband hus-band be burled beside a little daughter daugh-ter who died nineteen years ago and that the wife be burled beside a son who died at the same time. In tho house was a purse with money In it and a bank book showing several hundred dollars on deposit. |
