Ray Wilson, one of tho proprietors proprie-tors of tho Elite Cleaning company, died at his home, -MG Seventeenth street, at 1:30 o'clock yeBtorday afternoon, after-noon, following a long illness from a complication of diseases. He caino to this city from Salt Lake about six years ago and became very well known during his residence In Ogden. 'Surviving him are the mother, Mrs. AT...... Funeral sorvlces over tho remains of Peter Van Wyngaarden, one of tho three victims of tho Silver Lake snow-slide, snow-slide, wero held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Llndqulst's funeral chupel. Elder Isabrand Sander conducted con-ducted the services. The musical selections consisted of a duet. "Nearer. My God, to Thee," )jy Rudolph Jans and Miss Maggie Sander; a solo, 'Sometime We'll Understand,"' Un-derstand,"' by Miss Sander; the selections, selec-tions, "I Know That My Father Knows" and "I Need Thee Every Hour," by a quartette compojed by Miss Dlna Brown, Miss Ella Ingles, William Norton and William Pickett, and a. duet, "I Think of tho Days That Are Gone," by Messrs. NortDn and Pickett, in addition to Bishop Sander, R. II. Strickland, mine manager at Silver Lako; Herman Dankers and J. W. F. Volkor poko at the services. Olson presided at the funernl of Alfred Summerlll yesterday afternoon, the services being conducted conduct-ed at the Fourth Ward meeting houso. A very largo number of people peo-ple wero In attendance to pay a tribute trib-ute to tho memory of a well known and highly respected resident of this city. A male quartette rendered tho selections se-lections "How Firm a Foundation," "Oh, My Father," and "We Shall Meet Beyond the River." Joral Klanip rendered tho solo, "Aftor the Tolls and Troubles"; Frank Baugh sang "Softly and Tenderly Jesus Is Calling" Call-ing" Tho speakors wero E. O. Nokelby, John Taylor, Bishop Thomas Weathor-ly, Weathor-ly, under whom Mr. Summorill was a counselor at Honey vllle; Apostle David Da-vid O. McKay and Bishop Olson. A paper of respect was read by Miss Nolllo Becraft The remains wero taken to Honey-vllle Honey-vllle and funeral services were held at the mooting house there nt 10:30 o'clock this morning, after which tho Interment was made, in tho Iloneyvlllo cemetery. 00 & |
