Show IK Ii IF : FLU li III! i BRIGHAM CITY. Dec. 2 Spanish; influenza, followed by pneumonia, caused the death here this morning of Miss Leonie Reeder after an illness ill-ness of about a week. Miss Reeder was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George D. Reeder of Brigham City and was born here November 16, 1891. Mi3S Reeder was a gradunte of tho local high school. Soon after receiving receiv-ing her diploma she went to Salt Lake and took special training at the! L. D. S. hospital for nursing. About two years ago she completed her course there and remained in Salt Lako to take up her chosen profes- j sion. She was constantly at the bedside bed-side of the late President Joseph F. Smith during his illness and death, and came to her home immediately after he died to nurse her father and other members of the family, who were suffering with influenza. She contracted the disease while performing this work. |
