Show Group Asks For Junior USO Formation of a "junior USO club for 'tean age boys and girls" has been requested through the Logan Youth Council by Dr. Jo- j seph A. Geddes, head of the so ciology department at Utah State Agricultural college, who is char-man char-man of the council's education committee. The group proposes to secure a building suitable for dancing, games, refreshments and similar activities, all supervised by an adult counselor trained in youth problems. They would set up standards that the youths themselves them-selves feel they can sustain and have them well enforced, and rotate administrative control among many civic leaders, who would then have an opportunity to serve the cause of youth. Dr. Geddes reviewed the opera-. opera-. tions of several such centers that have been established in the United States and said the Logan club probably would follow along the same lines if established. |
