Porter Funeral services for Jesse Min-atree Min-atree Porter, 59, well known farmer far-mer and surveyor in Lewiston for 30 years who died at his home Wednesday at 11 p.m. after a lingering illness, will be conducted conduct-ed Monday at 1 p.m. in the Lewiston Lew-iston Second ward chapel. He was born in North Tazewell. Va., September 26, 1884, a son of Robert and Geneva Alsers Porter. He married Anna Mills on September Sep-tember 5, 1923 in" Richmond. Be-fore' Be-fore' moving to Utah, he worked as a surveyor 12 years with the American Steel company in West Virginia and later with the Northwestern Railroad company there. He was baptized into the LDS church on September 26, 1943. Survivors include his widow: two sons, Private Landell Boyd Porter, at the San Diego, Calif, marine base, and Nolan Bud Porter Por-ter of Lewiston, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. L. K. Douglas of Preston, Idaho; Mrs. Julia Hutton of Kings Fort, Ten. nessee; Mrs. Clara May of North Tazewell, Va., and Robert and Henry Porter of Rhodell, W. Va. Friends may call at the family home Sunday evening and Monday Mon-day until time of services. Burial Bur-ial in the Lewiston cemetery will be directed by the Kenneth Lind-quist Lind-quist mortuary of Logan. |
