Show Mammoth Celebration At Logan July 4th All is in readiness for one of the most suessful Fourth of July Celebrations next Thursday ever presented in Logan. The theme back of the entire celebration is one of patriotism. Every part is emphasized with the National colors. The colors will be displayed display-ed very conspicuously in the large parade. Many of the floats wall depict important events in early American history. The same idea will be carried out in the patroltic meeting in the Tabernacle. Likewise in the grand Fireworks Pageant Drama in the U. S. A. C. stadium in the evening of the Fourth. The Drama is "The Birth of America and early important events to American history will be .portrayed .portray-ed by float and then by a large fireworks set pieces. Before and after each episode, gorgeous dis-p dis-p ays of shells, rockets and other pyrotechnic pieces will be fired Smake up a display that w.l rcrhtst Reenter of the "Cob interest has rrXheCtlsto be the Hells of Pomeroy, champion girls team of Portland against the Shamrock champion girls team of Salt Lake city. Recently the Shamrocks beat a men's soft ball team at the Franklin Idaho celebration. They can hold their own with many of the men's teams. The Hells of Pomeroy won from the champion Washington Girls team of Negro players. This now gives the cham pionship of two states to the Hells of Pomeroy girls team. The other games at the Fair Grounds will be the Lundberg Motor, strengthened with some of the best players of the other valley vall-ey teams, and the General Electric, Elect-ric, champions of Salt Lake City. There Is keen rivalry between these teams. A public address system will be used to give the plays and make announcements. A band will also be in atendance. The grounds have been placed in good condition and the grand stand covered so there will be ample shade. These soft ball teams work fast so there should, not be a dull moment during the two games. This is an added attraction att-raction for girls and women as well as for men and boys. The Logan Junior High school Grounds have been oiled so there will be no dust where the big mid way will be. Monte Young will have five of his largest rides and a number of shows and concessions. concess-ions. There I3 sure to be a con- tinuous round of entertainment on the midway.
