Conducting the two-day workshop will be a couple of the better known psychic astologers from the Salt Lake area Susan Kiles and Mary St. Claire. Kiles has been an active proponent of astrology in the intermountain area for the last decade. She currently has her own astrology talk show on radio station KCGL in Salt Lake. She has traveled extensively throughout the U.S. giving lectures and radio and TV interviews on the subject of astrology. She has also had several articles of her own on the subject published in various journals. She plans to open up a "Metaphysical Center" in Salt Lake within the next few months. Her partner for the upcoming upcom-ing workshop will be Mary St. Claire. St. Claire is a past winner of the "National Enquirer" Psychic Award wnicn she garnered by identifying a picture that was in a sealed envelope in a bank vault in Lantana, Florida while she was in Salt Lake. She has been featured in the "National Enquirer," various newspapers and on radio and television broadcasts. broad-casts. She was the first to teach psychic awareness in the Granite Community Schools. She has presented psychic fairs in Utah and elsewhere. She is currently the Associate Director for the U.F.O. Contact Center International. The workshop's promotional promo-tional brochure makes it clear that a large number of psychic-related phenomena will be examined in the course of the two-day affair. It promises that participants will be clued in to "astrological "astrolo-gical influences and how they effect your life and how you can control them instead of letting them control you." Other areas which will be covered, according to the brochure, include: "Relaxation "Relaxa-tion techniques.'meditation, energy,, how to see auras, how to see people's past lives, how to see spirit guides." Participants will "learn how to use their psychic abilities psycho-metry psycho-metry (and) how to take advantage of the moon's phases in your daily life." Students will hopefully learn how to attain a "positive self image (by) ridding yourself of bad habits and replacing them with positive ones." Techniques Tech-niques for such accomplishments accomplish-ments include: "Mental telepathy, healing energy, reincarnation, clairvoyance, clairaudience." All of which, it is suggested, will wind you up capable of "seeing illness in others, making your own predictions and (using) colors in healing and positive self image." According to St. Claire, "Susan and I will be teaching workshop participants to use their own psychic abilities. They already have them, they just need to learn how to tap in to them. We want to show them how psychic phenomena and astrology work and how they can use those forces to change their lives and attitudes." "Once you learn how to see auras," she says, "then you start seeing people in colors. We'll be showing workshop participants each other's auras. They're difficult diffi-cult to see you can't try hard, you have to relax. It's a subtle light you can see it but not recognize it. Once you become aware of auras, you can determine all sorts of things about people. For instance, by watching someone's some-one's aura, you can immediately im-mediately tell when they're lying. When somebody tells a lie, it changes the color of his or her aura. It usually turns an ugly green." Through observation of auras, St. Claire claims, "you can see people's past lives. You can see them as if they were from a different era. They'll often appear to you in costuming from the era or maybe there will be a date in numerical figures sort of lingering about them. You can see and hear things from their past." Another area that St. Claire says the seminar will stress is mental telepathy, an inner talent we all possess and which is very important to harness and develop, she says, because it can give you a sort of "inner telephone" mechanism. "It's something anybody can develop," says St. Claire. "For example, my son and I have been communicating com-municating via telepathy for years. For instance, it wasn't long ago that he got stuck at the skating rink and needed a ride home but didn't have any money or way to contact me. So he sat down and concentrated very hard on getting the message to me. I started picking him up in my own head and went to get him." St. Claire says that she leads her own life largely on the basis of intuition and "gut feelings." One day, she says,' she was riding down " the freeway when she heard a voice in her head telling her to pull off immediately. Not knowing why, but not wishing to question such an urgent internal message, she did pull off, only to discover a serious malfunction in her radiator system. Fortunately Fortunate-ly (but not by chance, according to her), the place where the voice had told her to get off the road led directly to a service station where the problem was conveniently rectified. St. Claire would like to teach others how to follow such intuitive insights in order to make their lives run more smoothly. "We want to encourage people to release their inner beings, their real selves. We all have our own guardian angels and spirits watching over us, we just need to learn how to understand under-stand and recognize the messages mes-sages they send us. What Susan Su-san and I are trying to do is to teach people how to get into their subconscious mind to use the part of the brain that people don't ordinarily use. "In so doing, we stress a very positive approach We try to get people to tap in to their internal positive energy en-ergy and use it to get themselves out of bad habit Park City, UT 84060 lower level) ESP, he wouldn't the phone - ? . patterns. Then we can change their lives by encouraging en-couraging them to concentrate concen-trate on the positive, spiritual spiri-tual aspects of life. "We all need to rely more on our inner resources and a belief in things spiritual, like God," says St. Claire, who is a former Catholic and Mormon Mor-mon but now has no formal connections with organized Susan Kiles and Mary St. religion. "While the seminar won't deal with explicitly religious matters there is an underlying spirituality to the whole thing. As for myself, I love Jesus. I've found that the love of God and Jesus has given me all that I need in terms of religion. I don't go to church. I carry a church within myself, in my heart. I can turn to it at any time. It's Claire always there." The two-day seminar Claire and Kiles will host will be held Saturday and Sunday at the Kimball Art Center. Times each day will be from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Registration fee for both days will be $50. Participants can attend either Saturday or Sunday's program for $30 for single day sessions.
