Show !THEp Thursday, October 4, 1979 Schwenk Chalks U inn A W P The small Ironhorse Drive trailer office currently serving serv-ing as the Family Health Clinic has been "maxed out," as the saying goes, and the Holy Cross-operated clinic will soon be relocated in a larger office in the nearly completed Skaggs Mall. "Last year at this time we were seeing about 300 patients pa-tients a month," reports the clinic's managing physician Tom Schwenk. "This year we are seeing about 500 to 550 patients a month and expect the monthly patient level to reach 700 to 800 this winter." Schwenk says the new office will be ready by the first of November. Three times larger than the present facilities, it will permit the installation of new emergency equipment, larger testing and minor surgery rooms and a bigger waiting area. "We'll offer faster patient service and an expanded emergency capability, with a separate emergency entrance," en-trance," continued Schwenk. "We are adding Dr. Bob Winn to the staff to help handle the patient load and to provide specialized pediatric pedi-atric care." Dr. Winn and wife Nancy are freshly returned from Yellowstone Park where the doctor "treated bear mauling maul-ing victims, helicoptered and backpacked to patients on mountaintops and treated foreign visitors to the park with the aid of interpreters." He has served as an emergency medical park ranger since 1975. A graduate of Penn State University, Dr. Winn first came to Utah in 1975 to serve his internship and residency in pediatrics at the University Univer-sity of Utah Medical Center. "My first job in Park City was setting broken bones at the resort during the ski season two years ago," says Winn. "Last year I worked at the resort and part time with Dr. Schwenk." Dr. Winn will begin work at the local clinic this Friday. i r FRETTT DADT NAME: Marshall Robert Ligare PARENTS: Marlene & Tom Ligare DATE: Friday, September 28 TIME: 11:30 a.m. WEIGHT: 5 lbs. 2 ozs.
