Show r the ENTERPRISE Circuitry maker to expand After hitting a low in employment last winter, National Semiconductor Corporations West Jordan operation is now hiring and going through a major expansion program. According to personnel manager Keith Wight, National Semiconductor has installed several million dollars worth of equipment during the past year and will add a similar amount to increase production by a third. The equipment is to be used for fabrication of wafers used in integrated circuitry. Employment at the plant is up to 500 now from a low of 230 last February, and the company will be hiring 25 to 40 more people each month indefinitely, Wight said. Layoffs had occurred last winter when the plant stopped making many consumer products such as watches, calculators and video games it had made before (those operations were switched overseas). Some 110 to 120 workers still make consumer products such as liquid crystal displays for calculator readouts, Wight explained. i Builder honored for work t THE MOST SENSIBLE WAY TO GET THE MAXIMUM RETURN ON YOUR RECREATION DOLLAR IS TIME SHARING Marvin L.
