Show FOUNTAIN Gli KEN Urban Madsen has accepted a position as railway mail clerk and left here Sunday for Ogden where he begin work. His mother entertained entertain-ed at her home Thursday evening in honor ol his leaving. Those present veie Air. and Mrs. Hyrum Hansen, Air. and Mrs. Neils Hansen, Mr. and Airs. hi. M. Ivory, Mr. and Airs. Far-i Far-i ell Hansen, Mrs. J. M. Guyman, Miss Ruth Hansen, Miss Cleo Hansen, Miss Edna Jensen, and Urban Madsen Refreshments were served and a pleasant evening enjoyed. Last Wdnesday Donald Anderson was thrown from a horse and his shoulder was 'broken. Leonard Alickkelson is home from the Salt Lak0 training school which has been closed on acount of the epidemic of Spanish Influenza. Saturday a crowd of young people spent the evening with Urban Madsen at the home of Niels Hansen. Refreshments Re-freshments were served to Urban Madsen, Terry Oldroyd, Ruben Ivory, Elwin Blackham, Russell Draper, Miss Edna Jensen, Miss LaVern Hol-man, Hol-man, Aliss Edith Anderson, Miss Esther Samuels, Miss Ruth Samuels, Miss Ruth Hansen, and Miss Cleo Hansen. Word is just received that Fred Edler, who is at the base hospital at Camp Freemont, California, very ill with pneumonia, is improving. Air. Arthur Elder and Miss Lizzie Elder are at Camp Freemont and will remain there until Fred is out of danger. Edna Gunderson, who has been ill and who was reported to have the Spanish Influenza, is improving and has not had the disease but had a very bad cold. Word has heen received here that Oscar Johnson of this city is seriously serious-ly ill at Wyoming with Spanish Influenza. In-fluenza. School has closed here on account of the Spanish Influenza and will remain closed until all danger of the disease is passed over. ' Monday evening Edith Anderson entertained the "Wide Awake" girls at her home. Dainty refreshments were served and all enjoyed the evening. |
