Show A .V. Spanish Influenza has been spreading spread-ing very rapidly thruoghout Sanpete county during the past week. It is a plague that seems to have no cure save that ot being supplied with plenty of fresh air. We are blessed with fresh air in Sanpete and if people are careful there should be no further spread of the dreadful epidemic. epi-demic. Eighty cases are reported at Ephraim, forty-five at Mt. Pleasant, twelve at Spring City, fifteen at Chester, Ches-ter, one at Freedom, eight at Moroni, eight at Fairview and it is reported that there is one case of smallpox, one case of typhoid fever and one case of scarlet fever at Spring City. Four cases have been reported at Manti. People are beginning to realize the danger of the disease that ' is so prevelant in the valley and many are wearing masks to protect themselves them-selves from being exposed. At Moroni Dr. B. C. Linebaugh issued an order to the effect that people could not crowd into the Post Office, only one person allowed to go in after their mail at a time. Masks are being worn in several stores in the county. Rulon Bradley of Moroni is in a very seriuos condition. He was improving very well and thought he was on the safe side when he got up and went about his home only to get a very severe cold which has caused him to have a most serious set back. He is very low at this writing. |
