Show FAIRVIEW. C. L. Pritchett, Peter Sundwall,' Thomas Rfgby were Salt Lake City visitors the past week. Mr. and Mrs.. Myron Tanner attended at-tended Conference in Salt Lake City they also attended the Tanner reunion re-union held there last week. Mrs. H. T. Miner of Vineyard is visiting relatives in Fairview. Amasa Mower and Welda Mower who- have been away the past winter are spending the week in Fairview. L. C. Miner went to Colorado last week where he expects to get employment, em-ployment, shearing sheep. Mrs. Joseph Williams, who has lately been operated upon for appendicitis, appen-dicitis, is a guest at the home of her mother, Mrs. Andrew Lassen. Mrs. B. F. Larsen of Provo Is a guest at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Day Sr. Mrs. Mary Brockbank of Salt Lake City is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Sundwall, Sr. Allie L. Carlston, who has spent the past two years on a mission for the L. D. S. Church returned home April, 5. He labored in Indiana and Illinois. Mr. Carlston is looking well and says he is feeling fine. Miss lone1 Saundersi, Who spent the past two years in the mission field also returned home this week. A welcome home party was given her Wednesday night by the Ward Choir and a number of friends. An excellent excel-lent program was given and refreshments refresh-ments were served to more than seventy-five people. Miss Laurel Miner, Miss Christa Olsen and Reese Bench came home from Provo to attend the funeral of Miss Odetta Miner. Mrs. Robert Oldroyd of Canada was a guest of Mr. and Mrs. Swen O. Nielson last week. Mrs. Mary Vance, who suffered a stroke last Sunday, is reported very ill at her home this week. Ephraim Jensen, the boy who was hurt by falling from a horse, underwent under-went an operation ai Salt Lake ( ity some two weeits pgo. He was brought homo this week and is reported re-ported to bo much better. Joseph Day, who has been a member mem-ber of the U. 8. Marino Corp for the past four years, was discharged with honor on March 29th at Mare Island. He has spent the past two years in Peking, China Where he was s. member mem-ber of the Marine band. Mrs. Eli Taylor, formerly Miss Sina Nielson of Fairview, died at her home in Salem April 6th. of influenza influ-enza . Mrs. Taylor was a daughter of Swen O. Neilson and was loved and respected by a host of friends in Fairview. She was formerly a teacher here. Mrs. E. A. Day Sr. entertained a number of relatives in honor of her 'son, Joseph last Monday. The afternoon after-noon was spent in music and social chat. Dinner was served to about wenty guests. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Johnson are rejoicing over the arrival of a fine baby girl at their home. A farewell party was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James L. Rig-by, Rig-by, Jr. In honor of Mrs. Maud Hen-drickson Hen-drickson and John Gull who leave for Idaho this week where they go to make their future home. The evening was spent in games and music. Luncheon was served to more than thirty guests. |
