Show The last and probably the most important step ever made by the students of the High School was de-1 de-1 cided upon la,t Monday with full consent of the faculty. The governing govern-ing of the halls during s.hool h.iurs u now to pass from toe faculty to the student bo 'y organization. In a .special siulen: body meeting, the students voted unanimously for the charge, not because the teachers were unable to disciplin the halls or had not been doing so satisfactorily, . , but because we believa that it is one V step towards complete student body government in this school. We be-. lieve that self government is best and that it is most satisfactory to the members of any organiz-.tion. In view of thKthe faculty decided to give us, if we so desired, first, the disciplining disciplin-ing of the halls and if this is done I properly, other powers later. Stud-' ent body government will not only give us pride in making good rules for school and obeying them, but will also give us good civic training. Ttieboys have already made some progress in athletics, which will be made a very uplifting and clean spot t with an aim for cleanliness of body and higher morals. Coach Jensen has returned from Salt Lake where he purchased suits and necessary material for athletics. Each day at 4p, m. the boys go to the Armory and take the floor away i from Miss Ryan's physical culturists and have an interclass game. The coach will choose the best players from the class teams for the class team which will join in the league games. , News Items Mrs. Christian Rasmussen is spending spend-ing this week in Salt Lake with her daughter, Mrs. Edna Watson.' Our first student, body meeting will be held Monday Oct. 14th, when a short program will be given. , , The N. S. High School faculty entertained en-tertained the studentbody Thursday i afternoon. School was dismissed at j 3 o'clock and the students marched to the Armory in a body, where the Physical Culture class danced a Spanish Span-ish dance, also a fancy polka. Interclass Inter-class basket ball games were also played. Tnen all marched to the H. S. and lunch was served. The stud-eats stud-eats gave toasts for the faculty and everybody had a jolly time, j We have a heroine in our High j School. Last week one of Mr. Jensen's Jen-sen's snakes broke loose and the boys were nearly frightened to death. But one of our Senior girls picked up the wriggling reptile and carried it back to its proper place. The frightened boys tendered the heroine a vote of thanks. Mr. Jensen (High School Athletic teacher). "I beg to remand the boys aeain that they must wear only "Gym" shoes in the Armory."
