MADSEN Passes At 76. . . . ; Mrs. Madsen Is Lauded By Funeral Speakers Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Adelaide (Addie) Tebbs Madsr-n, 76, prominent Mt. Pleasant' church worker and club woma-i were conducted Tuesdav at the North ward chapel by Bishop Arnold Y. Stevens. Mrs. Madsen died Saturdav morninp- fn'l, ing an extended illness. Three speakers, all long-time acquaintances of Mrs. Madsen and members of her family, praised her as an inspiring mother, an active community leader and a wise business woman. Those who recounted the life of service lived by Mrs. Madsen were Bishop A. L. Peterson, Mrs Miriam Neilson and Daniel Rasmussen. ine services were conducted ' by Bishop Arnold Y. Stevens. , Crgan music was plaved by Mrs. Florence Bagnall and Mrs Ethel Ericksen. Vocal numbers were sung by , the Lions quartet quar-tet including Roger Hansen, William Burton, W. N. Ball and Ernest Brunger. They were ae companied by Mrs. Marjorie Winters Pratt. A vocal number was also sung by Mrs. Francos Gill, accompanied by Roger Hansen. The invocation was offered bv Mayor S. M. Nieslen and the ciosing prayer was made bv Ruel H. Seely. The grave wr.'s dedicated by a nephew of Mrs. Madsen, William Tebbs of Panguitch. At the 'bedside when Mrs. Madsen passed away were her husband, a son, Dr. G. B. Mao-sen Mao-sen of Mt. Pleasant and a daughter, Miss Nell Madsen of Salt Lake city. Other members of the family were summoned a son, from Price; Mrs. Bernitta Wissmar, a daughter from Oakland, Oak-land, Calif., and Dr. George J. Madsen, a son, from San Diego. Calif. She was born in Mona, Ju;:!i county, March 12, 1873. Her parents, Daniel F. and Suscn Burns Tebbs later were among the piomc settlers of Panguitrh! Garfield county. After atl"n:i ing schools there, Mrs. Madden attended school in Camd.n Point, Missouri, and on her return re-turn to Utah taught school in Parowan. On July 13, 1899 she was married mar-ried to George G. Madso'-. prominent wool grower of Mt (Pleasant and has resided hrvr-isince. hrvr-isince. They are the parents of eight children. She was a charter member and past president presi-dent of the Twentieth Century club, a member of the Mt Pleasant fioneerHistorial As Sociation and a member of the uaugnters ol Utah Pioneeis For many years she was litera-y leader in the North ward Relit I Society and a Sunday S' hon teacher. Pleasant-Dr. Pleasant-Dr. Daniel T. Madsen of Pnc and Dr. George J. Marlon ' San Diego. Calif.; ten gram', children and five brothers, Jarrc-Tebhs Jarrc-Tebhs of Cowley, Wvo.; Burr-and Burr-and Talvin Tebbs of Panguitch-Hr. Panguitch-Hr. Dudley D. Tebbs and Cle-n rebbs of Salt Lake.
