Mr. And Mrs. Neils Johansen Have Been Married Those Fifty. Years Mr. and Mrs. Niels Johansen' will be honored at a family dinner Saturday evening, April 23 at their home in Moroni, in observance of their golden wedding anniversary. Sunday afternoon from 2 till' 6 p. m., their daughters will entertain en-tertain at a reception and open house, honoring their parents : for their many friends and relatives. rel-atives. Mary Meyrick Johansen wat born in Mt. Pleasant Dec. 14, a daughter of John and Jemima Hutchinson Meyrick. Niels Johansen Jo-hansen was born in Mt. Pleasant, Pleas-ant, Dec. 22, 1877, a son of Niels and Christina A. Johansen.' The parents of both Mr. and Mrs. Johansen were among the original settlers of Mt. Pleas-ant Pleas-ant in 1859. They were married April 19 1899 in Mt. Pleasant by the lat; C. N. Lund, president of North Sanpete Stake. They lived in Mt. Pleasant until 1911, then moved to Richfield and have made their borne in Moroni since 1914. Mr. Johansen is a harness maker and ha also engaged in farming. He is a member of the Elders quorum of Moroni East ward. Mrs. Johansen has been an active worker in the ward Relief Sdciety for the pas thirty years, i. They have . five daughters, Ruby Johansen)' and Mrs. Carmen J. Blackburn "of Moroni; Mrs. Crystal J. Aiken of Blackfoot Idaho; Mrs. Jemima J. Jensen of Castle Dal, and Mrs. June Jensen of Firivew, and 16 grandchildren i and 10 greatgrandchildren!'' |
