Show FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. JOSE YOUNG Very impressive funeral services were held for Mrs. Jose Young in the L. D. S. chapel Friday, October 11th. Many beautiful flowers were given and many friends attended the services. ser-vices. Music was furnished by the ward choir and two quartets were sung by Mrs. Ellis Coombs, Miss Mae Madsen, Eli A. Day, Jr. and Bishop H. P. Hansen. They were "That Beautiful Land" and "Sometime We'll Understand." Sidney Sanderson Sander-son and Joseph Hansen were the speakers who paid fitting tribute to her memory and gave speeches filled with love and patriotism. Mrs. Young died at Sacramento, California. Her children Floyd Young, who came from Camp Lewis, Alonzo Young and Maxine Young accompanied her remains re-mains home. She was buried in the Fairview Cemetery beside her husband, hus-band, who died fifteen yearg ago. Besides Be-sides these children she leaves one daughter, Mrs. Roger Doherty, of Sacramento, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Johnson of Fairview, one brother, A. A. Johnson of Salt Lake City and three sisters, Mrs. John Vance of Arizona, Mrs. Osborne Carl, ston of Murray and Mrs. Arthur Las-. Las-. sen of Indianola and many friends to mourn her loss. She was forty years old. Those from out of town who attended at-tended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Johnson of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Osborne Carlston of Murray-Mr. Murray-Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lassen of Indianola, In-dianola, Floyd Young from Camp Lewis, Maxine Young and Alonzo Young of Sacramento, Lauritz Larsen Fern Larsen and Mrs. Larsen of Mt. Pleasant. |
