Keller, prominent merchant mer-chant of Mantl passed away at the family residence Wednesday evening. Three different parties, hoping against hope, were racing against death In an effort to reach his side ! before life departed, hut. all were too late. Albert O. Keller, youngest, brother, coming from Castle Hale, through Price and Spanish Fork canyon, was met at Thistle Wednesday evening by auto, but the end came before he got out of Thisiiu. Ldeut. Fred W. Keller, eldest son, and wife, were; summoned from Camp Lewis, American Lake, Washington. Wash-ington. Lieut. Cleu Jensen, and wife, Mrs. Delia Keller Jensen, were at Camp Kearney, Linda Vista, California. Cali-fornia. All were rushing across three states in an effort to reach home before the end came, but the eplrlt of their father left its earthly home before they reached their native na-tive state. , Mr. Keller bad been suffering some time from a growth in his stomach. About two weeks ago he went to Salt Lake, considering an operation. There it was learned that no operation could be performed. He came home and has since been failing faster than was at (lrst realized, the end coming about 6:30 Wednesday evening. An obituary will appear next week. Manti Messenger. |
