Show Mrs. Spencer DiesInHospital Mrs. Ida Shepherd Spencer, 43, wife of Mert H. Spencer, prominent farmer of Indianola, died Sunday evening at the Aird hcrpital in Provo, following an operation for gall stones. Mrs. Spencer was born February 28, 1892 in Benjamin, being a daughter of Andrew and Rachael Shepherd. She married Mr. Mert Spencer in Provo on May 2nd,1910. She is survived by her husband and eleven sons and daughters, Orion Sp-Jneer, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Marda S. Barker, Boulder City; Erwin, Que, Norma, Ronald, Paul. Dorcus, Thelma and Mozelle Spencer, and Mrs. Laurella S. Syndergaard, all ol Indianola; four grand children and the following brothers and sisters: Warren, Frand and Leland Shep-.herd, Shep-.herd, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Max Mc-Kean, Mc-Kean, Clinton; Mrs. George Peterson, Peter-son, Indianola; Ira and Thomas Shepherd, Spanish Fork. Funeral services were, held in the Fairview North ward chapel Wednesday Wed-nesday with Elder Ivan Sanderson presiding. Music was furnished by the Fairview choirs. Special music was a quartette by Bishop Andrew Peterson and company, vocal solot were given by Mrs. Thomas W. J':n-s'n J':n-s'n and Floyd Young. Violin solo by Mr. Alvini Brady. Prayers were offered by Bishop Otis Stewart and Howard Rigby. The speakers who paid many tribut's of honor t"i her memory were A. L. Carlston, Fred Staker, Bishop H. W. Jones, and Bishop Henry P. Olsen of Mount Pleasant. A pceim which was a tribute tri-bute to her life was read by Otis Stewart. Interment was in the Indianola cemetery where Warren Shepherd dedicated the grave. The funterai was very well attended and many beautiful flowers were given by friends and relatives. Relatives and ' friends from Indianola, In-dianola, Milburn, Fairview, Mount Pleasant, Payson, Provo and Salt Lake were in attendance at the services. |
