Show PETER M. JENSEN OBSERVES EIGHTY FOURTH BIRTHDAY Still enjoying excellent health despite his age, Mr. Peter M. Jensen Jen-sen of this city today observed his 84th birthday anniversary with a family dinner at his home. Mr Jensen was born at Berring, Denmark, on August 17th, 1850. He was a son of Mads and Maren Jensen. He came to Utah September 13, 1856, crossing the Plains when hr-was hr-was six years old and walking ths entire distance of 1300 miles. He came to Mt. Pleasant in 1862 and on May 8, 1879, was married to Ann A. Truly. They have had ten children, of whom six are now living; John F. of Wendover; Chas. M Delta; William, Salt Lake; Ed- a Tocnn and Mrs. Ruby A. Poulsen of Mt. Pleasant, and Hugh Jensen cf California. Mr Jensen has a remarkable memory for one his age, and can relate many interesting tales of pioneer pi-oneer timer, in Mt. Pleasant and ether ports of the state. He is a Black Hawk Indian war veteran. |
