Show society: : Skating parties seem to be the social fad at present. Miss Florence Monsen and ner Founh and Fifth Grade puplis were the actors at the I Armory Friuay afternoon, while Mr j Faux and his fifty varieties preformed prefor-med fancy acts in thS same way Tuesday Tues-day afternoon. The regular monthly social of the South Ward Sundav School officers and teachers was held last week at the home-of A. Merz , Ida Merz, Minnie Christensen, Dalla Tid-vell and Vera Kump were hostess. A very pleasant evening was spent in music, song and games, Delicious refreshments were served. The officers and teachers of the South ward Primary Association tendered Mrs. David??- Hutchinson, j one thier retiring teachers a pleasant farewell surprise party at her home : Wednesday evening. Her husband hus-band and family intend leaving- our city soon and will make their ' home in Provo. The officers presented their friend with a beautiful Silver tea service, music, games a nd reading were enjoyed after whi ch refresh-: refresh-: ments were served. ! Mr. and Mrs. Asa Wilcox entertained enter-tained a number, of thier friends at their home Sunday evening of last week. Margaret Brandon,' Mrs. Christie Moore, of Boise, Idaho, is here visiting with relatives and fiiends Mrs. Moore is the daughter of Andrew Christensen and a sister of Nephi Christensen. It is twenty years since Mrs. Moore left this city and she is much astonished at the many changes that have been made since that time, The members of the Twenty Century Cen-tury club held their regular meeting at the home of Mrs. A. C. Wall last Thursday. The usual routine of business bus-iness was transacted. The following officers were elected for the coming year: Mrs. VV, D. Candland, president; presi-dent; Mrs. Geo. Christenste 1, vice president; Mrs. J. A. Armstrong secretary; Mrs. H. C, Jacobs, corresponding corre-sponding secretary: Mrs. P. M. Nielsen, Niel-sen, treasurer; Miss Hilda Madsen, librian. The club met yesterday afternoon af-ternoon at the home of Mrs. W, D. Candland. E. C. Sams of the Golden Rule Stores, has been a visitor in Mount Pleasant during the week. He was hitrhlv Dleased with the business be ing done by the store here. Mr. Sams has just returned and' is now on a tour of inspection of all the stores in the state. The members of the Home Culture club and several invited guests were royally entertained at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Beaumann Thursday Thurs-day evening. Various game, that furnished much amusement, were indulged in-dulged in. Excellen piano, vocal and violin music was rendered by Miss Beaumann and members of Wasatch Wa-satch Academy faculty.
