Marshall because of his steadfast service to the community His dedication to young men in the Scouting program is tremendous and has spanned over 60 years He started as an Assistant Scoutmaster in 1940 in Draper UT He later served as Scoutmaster as well as other positions in that area He worked as a Scoutmaster in Oasis and earned the rank of Eagle Scout as an adult While working in the District Scouting organization he received the District Award of Merit Second Miler and the Silver Beaver Awards He is Wood Badge trained earned his Wood Badge beads and attended Advancement Training at the Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimmaron NM He helped organize merit badge Pow Wows and was instrumental in setting up the Todd Swalbcrg Eagle Scout Scholarship Award Mr Ludwig guided many scouts as they designed their Eagle Scout Service Projects for the community He interviewed young men for their advancement to the rank of Eagle He donated long hours doing something he loved and believed in supporting the development growth and achievement of young men through the Scouting program Mr Ludwig has spent Memorial Days for years as a member of the VFW honoring fallen servicemen at area
