Show THE NEWS FROM FILLMORE Public Affairs and Local Happenings at the County Seat One of the worst blizzards struck Fillmore about 7 o'clock Friday evening even-ing that has come this way for years. It quit about 12 o'clock. The results are cold weather and about 6 Iciihes of snow. The glance at the Alkazar Friday night, notwithstanding the bllz.ard, was well attended and an enjoyable time had. The teachers of the county were very much In evidence and seemed to enjoy a relaxation from the stern look, and I hardly think there was one out of the whole party who forgot and said to the students, "I want a little less order." Tho nlmroda are out In force today. There may be a deer for each, but a great number of people hold a contrary con-trary opinion. Reports to the effect that our very congenial stage driver, I-ester Cole-grove, Cole-grove, lost his way during the blizzard last Friday evening, and did not reach Oasis until 8 o'clock next morning. We trust he will not have to repent the experience, as fire wood between here and Oasis Is very scarce. Mr. Steven (ireeuway took his wife to the hospital the other day. Dr. Stevens accompanied them. We trust that Mrs. Creenwood will dud relief from her ailment, and return home again to her family in good health. Mr. James Turner Is visiting Fillmore Fill-more after an absence of about 11 jeni'a. We understand he will make his home in Hinckley. City Council met last Monday night, after allowing all bills and verifvlng the election count, adjourned until next regular meeting.
