Show Services Held Wednesday For T. V. Hopkins Funeral services 'for Thomas William Hopkins, 59, Delta resident and farmer for the past 28 years, were held Wednesday at 2 p. m. in the old Delta First ward chapel, conducted by E. L. Moody, bishop of Delta Third ward. Mr. Hopkins died early Saturday Satur-day at his home after a short illness. ill-ness. He was bom April 2, 1892, at Joseph, Sevier county, a son of Brognard D. and Arietta Ann Carter Car-ter Hopkins. His early life was lived in Joseph, Jose-ph, where he was married Feb. 10, 1912, to Cecilia Lott. The couple received their endowments in the Manti temple in 1933. In 1923 Mr. and Mrs. Hopkins, with their family, moved to Delta, where they have lived since. Mr. Hopkins had been a stock raiser and farmer all his life. Surviving are his widow, at Delta, Del-ta, and four sons and three daughters: daugh-ters: Glen Hopkins and Mrs. Arietta Ar-ietta Barnes, of Midvale; Brog Hop ,kins and Morris HopKins, ueita; Don Hopkins and Mrs. Elaine Davidson, Dav-idson, Lark, Utah, and Mrs. Barbara Bar-bara Rowley, Fillmore; nineteen grandchildren; three brothers and one sister, Charles Hopkins, Delta; A. A. Hopkins, Richfield; Parley-Hopkins, Parley-Hopkins, Pinole, Cal. and Mrs. Ida Farmer, Porland, Ore. Mr. Hopkins was a quiet and kindly man, esteemed as a friend and neighbor. He was an elder in the LDS church and a member of Delta Third ward. Burial was in the Delta cemetery, ceme-tery, under direction of L. N. Nickle Nic-kle and sons mortuary. |
